Retraction Watch – window into the scientific process

9.3.2017

Restraction Watch is a blog that reports on retractions in scientific studies. Blog was launched in 2010 by journalists Adam Marcus and Ivan Oransky, with the aim to increase transparency and integrity in research and scientific publications. The initiators of this platform have noticed that a number of studies are refuted and withdrawn due to error, fraud or unethical practices in the research process, but information on these retractiosn are either not available or do not have the level of publicity as the original studies. Therefore, the platform serves as a "window into the scientific process" and enjoys great popularity among the scientific and research community.
