Big data in the service of policy making

Taking into consideration the trend of opening and generating large amounts of data, the new digital era is considered to be a renaissance period of evidence-based policy making. Thus,  the aim of this text is to point to the benefits of using the big data in policy making, given that the analysis of large data can point to solutions that will contribute to the development of good and sustainable public policies and make it easier to make decisions about the complex problems society faces.
